Chamuyo Restaurant, Parrilla Argentina located in the heart of Cabo San Lucas, where you will feel wrapped in a relaxed and casual softly lighted atmosphere, of a typical Argentine neighborhood. Good restaurants provide you with a delicious meal and a memorable experience.
Excellent restaurants transport you. Chamuyo (it’s pronounced “shamoshow”) sends you on a culinary adventure through Buenos Aires dance halls and the verdant Pampas. Bring the appetite of a gaucho to this moonlit Argentine grill, where you’ll dine on monster 22-ounce beef ribs that chef Marcelo Romby—a talented Argentine import—slow cooks for more than four hours.
Meat-stuffed empanadas come fried or oven baked, and they serve as excellent starters. For a surefire excellent meal, opt for the dinner for two. It includes beef rib, sausage, rib eye, salad, and a bottle of wine for $68 U.S.; the dinner for four is $129 U.S. There are also wood-fired pizzas, fish, homemade pasta, Argentine sausage served with salad, and Milanesa sandwiches. End with bread pudding, flan, or Argentine crepes made with seasonal fruit. Paseo del Pescador at Acuario, Cabo San Lucas, (624) 143-4900,.Nightly 5 p.m.–midnight. All major credit cards and vouchers accepted. $$–$$$$ A.A. |

The Slow-Cooked Beef Rib at Chamuyo Parillada Argentina
Chamuyo Parillada Argentina is an effortlessly chic amalgam of moonlit alfresco dining, a bold Argentina-sourced wine selection, and a menu built on a chef’s love affair with beef and garlic. Indeed, the experienced team behind Chamuyo—they also own and operate sister restaurant Corazón de Alcachofa—has introduced the best of Buenos Aires to Los Cabos. The setting is as sexy as a dance hall tango, and the high-protein menu would impress any gaucho worth his rebenque (“leather whip”). We are big fans of the parillada para dos (“grill for two”), which includes ribs, skirt steak, Argentine sausage, green salad, and a bottle of wine. The fried empanadas are mouthwatering, too. But nothing quite compares with the enormous 22-ounce beef ribs, which are grilled for an absolute minimum of four and a half hours to lock in the flavor and juices. The ribs are, simply put, amazing: unbelievably rich and tender. Want to sound like a real Argentine? Pronounce the restaurant’s name as “shamooshow.” It means, by the way, “to shoot the breeze.” Chamuyo Parillada Argentina, Paseo del Pescador at Acuario, Cabo San Lucas, (624) 143-4900, www.chamuyo.mx.
