The BBF is currently supporting 80+ young scholars with full scholarships, (known in Mexico as beccas),\u00a0 to local universities, colleges and technical institutes.<\/p>\n<p>The kids in this scholarship program are from local families that would not have been able to attend post secondary without financial help. The BBF targets boys and girls in their last year of secondary school that have high grade point averages. Kids do not receive help until a home visit and other qualifiers of financial need have been conducted by BBF.<\/p>\n<p>After acceptance into the program, ongoing community service is part of the deal to keep their scholarship. Towards this end, they are supporting a blanket and sweater drive this year.<\/p>\n<p>They are looking in particular for jackets and coats for kids aged 6 to 14 who are sitting in schools with no walls &amp; roofs made out of tarp in the barrios.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1st Target Distribution Date: \u00a0 December 15th, 2012<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>2nd Target Distribution Date:\u00a0 January 15th, 2013 \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Drop Off Depot: Building Bajas Future Office is located right next to CFE in the Pedregal.
