The two fashionistas directed 19 models to showcase their unique designs in the large outdoor living area where guests enjoyed canap\u00e9s and wine. Valero is an award-winning designer best known for <em>transformable fashion<\/em>, meaning she creates a dress and then changes it on the spot into a top or skirt. She has traveled the world and has received awards for her exciting evening wear. Pepita\u2019s original designs are sewn by hand, one at a time, in some of the most beautiful fabrics in the world. Pre-show entertainment included talented dancers from Carmen\u2019s Dance Academy in La Paz performing belly dances in colorful costumes. Proceeds from the event went to the Sarahuaro Foundation whose mission is to create opportunities through workshops where women, mothers and children identify their skills and actively integrate them into society. Sarahuaro is currently working with approximately 160 families.
