The Cabo Comedy Festival, under the slogan \u201cWhere the Land Ends and the Fun Begins\u201d is a five day comedy event taking place October 2-6, 2013 in Cabo San Lucas. The Cabo Comedy Festival will feature performances at the Hard Rock Caf\u00e9, Desperados, Pink Kitty Nightclub and Cabo Wabo<\/strong> from over 75 of the entertainment industry\u2019s top stand-up headliners.\u00a0 It will also include panel discussions on the business side of comedy, a celebrity golf tournament at Palmilla benefiting DIF and official after-parties at Baja Junkie, Mandala, Knotty Social Club and Pink Kitty. Official pool and beach parties will take place at Nikki Beach, Mango Deck and Bahia. Festival badges and tickets for nightly comedy shows are available for purchase at www.cabocomedyfestival.com<\/a>, at the festival box office inside Plaza Bonita (located behind downtown Starbucks), and at the venues prior to show-time.<\/p>\n

The festival will also stage the Jack Rollins Breakthrough Talent Competition wherein 20 \u2018opening act\u2019 level comedians selected from the U.S., Canada and Mexico will perform over 2 nights at the Hard Rock Caf\u00e9. The winner will make his\/her national late night talk show debut on \u201cThe Arsenio Hall Show\u201d just days after the festival.<\/p>\n

An awards brunch on Sunday at the Marina Fiesta Hotel will mark the closing. Actor\/comedian Kevin Pollak will present Budd Friedman with the Giant of Comedy Award. Friedman is celebrating the 50th anniversary of his iconic Improv comedy club.<\/p>\n

The festival is being produced by Los Angeles-based Zaring Group and Wind Entertainment.<\/p>\n
