In addition to tasty offerings from Baja Brewing Company, which in the space of six short years has expanded to three locations, the area is also seeing some exciting new partnerships between Tijuana-based craft brewers and local restaurateurs.<\/p>\n
Drew Deckman, owner and executive chef of San Jose del Cabo fine dining fixture Deckman’s at Havana, has teamed with Agua Mala to create Garibaldi, a light refreshing witbier (also known as a wheat beer) perfect for hot summer days in Baja Sur.<\/p>\n
And in Cabo San Lucas, Edith Jim\u00e9nez of Edith’s and The Office on the Beach has joined forces with Cerveceria R\u00e1muri to open a downtown microbrewery, restaurant and beer garden called R\u00e1muri Cerveza Artesanal Mexicana<\/a>.<\/p>\n All beer at R\u00e1muri is made on-site, under the watchful eye of brewmaster Sergio Michel.<\/p><\/div>\n R\u00e1muri opened earlier this year, and has quickly proved popular with locals and visitors alike, not only for the hoppy goodness of its site fermented suds, but also for the excellent dinner menu crafted by executive chef and general manager Sergio \u00c1lvarez. There are many places to find pub-style fare and gourmet pizzas in Los Cabos, but few can match R\u00e1muri’s signature pie, brushed with pomodoro sauce and topped with air-dried local cheese, basil, coriander, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, and Miraflores Mexican sausage, among other mouth-watering ingredients. Other specialties at R\u00e1muri include kilo-sized servings of suckling pig and porterhouse steak – perfect for couples or small villages – as well as homemade breads and artisanal cheese plates, appropriate accompaniments for sophisticated beer sampling.<\/p>\n Dinner highlights at R\u00e1muri include Pil Pil octopus, suckling pig, and gourmet pizzas.<\/p><\/div>\n Both tap and bottled beers are available from R\u00e1muri brewmaster Sergio Michel, and the menu ranks each brew in terms of color, hops, and alcohol content. Prefer something light with low hops? Try a Belgian-style Saison. Belgian and German brewing culture serve as models for R\u00e1muri, but the new microbrewery also evinces plenty of Mexican flavor. The climate-controlled beer making facility is on-site, and can be seen from the indoor dining area. However, sports fans may prefer seating at the bar or at the rooftop beer garden, where the many large flat screen televisions showcase all the latest international games and events.<\/p>\n R\u00e1muri may be the area’s newest craft brewer, but for the past six years Baja Brewing Company has been the Los Cabos standard bearer. In addition to the original location in San Jos\u00e9 del Cabo’s historic Art District, Baja Brewing also has two cantinas in Cabo San Lucas: a rooftop restaurant at Cabo Villas on M\u00e9dano Beach, and a perfectly placed Marina locale between Puerto Paraiso and Luxury Avenue. All three sites showcase superb draft and bottled beer options, from the light, creamy Baja Blond to the rich, dark, coffee-colored Baja Stout. Fine food is also on tap, including gourmet pizzas and comfort food favorites, as well as traditional Mexican fare.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/a>
