The family-run Gardenias Restaurant established their delicious tacos in Cabo more than 30 years ago with only a few plastic tables and chairs, a cement floor, and a palm leaf roof. Since then, their Mexican home style tacos have become a local and tourist favorite. Doña Olga and her son Guillermo’s main focus for the past three decades has always been about the food. Offering exotic Mexican tacos de nopal, fried pork rind, shredded chicken or beef, marinated pork and their classic fried fish or shrimp.
Taqueria EL Paisa began with one taco stand years ago and now has several locations in and around the downtown Cabo San Lucas area. A favorite of locals, Los Paisas has grown to become a favorite of tourists too, with their Mexican home style service and delicious street-style carne asada beef tacos, and or marinated pork (Al Pastor).
At Taqueria Gus, the barbacoa (braised lamb), pescado (grilled fish), and carnitas (braised pork) are three quickly prepared tacos from their taco menu that are both tasty and juicy that are priced at the same cost as all other taqueria restaurants of this Baja Calfornia Sur region and Cabo San Lucas city. Always served hot, some tacos are accompanied by a small spear of pineapple that adds a refreshing sweetness to their hearty taco selections.
The tacos Al Pastor at Las Guacamayas, are but one of their available delicious taco options. Their home made beans are another tasty aspect of their fine food. The chicken fajitas are also considered amazing as are their home made fresh tortillas are fresh and tasty.
The birria at La Valentina Steak y Tacos Gourmet is a local and tourist favorite, served by their friendly staff, with cooks that prepare tacos over an open flame. On Tuesdays, La Valentina offers two-for-one carne asada Sonora beef tacos. The meat quality at Valentina’s is very soft and rich, which includes Arracheta, and Tomahawk beef.
At La Taquiza Taqueria , the battered Seafood tacos which include shrimp and fish as well as the octopus, are the tacos that set La Taquiza apart. Their salsas are categorized by different colors to signify how mild and/or hot they are. Their guacamole is also served in various degrees of either mild or hot.
The tacos at La Lupita Taco y Mezcal include their four different styles of Marinated Pork, crunchy pork and chorizo, green and/or black Mole chicken, as well as shredded beef tongue (Lengua), Ribeye beef, short ribs, and tender lamb meat; served with either corn of flour tortillas.
