Wedding Destination Planners Met in Cabo
600 Professionals had the Pleasure to attend a Congress where the Desert meets the Sea.
Wedding Destination Planners met in Los Cabos April 10 to 12, 2018. For the first time, the biggest Congress for Wedding Destination Planning was held in Latin America, the scenery for this magnificent event was decided to be Los Cabos. Personally, I think is because we are a top class and still pristine Tourist Destination Town. Los Cabos alone has hundreds of weeding ceremonies in our beautiful beaches, villas and resorts all the year.
With this meeting, the Convention Center in San Jose del Cabo was re-activated, this was previously informed by the Secretary of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability (SETUES) Luis Genaro Ruiz Hernandez, he was eloquent when speaking about the importance of this congress, he mentioned that our state (Baja California Sur) entered a new phase regarding Conventions and this Wedding Planners Congress marked a new era in Tourism Destination events.
From the past 10th to the 12th of April, six hundred specialists from sixty five different countries gathered together to celebrate the Wedding Destination Planning Congress, The most important heads of the Wedding Planning industry met in Cabo. Amongst them, some of the most active and proficient companies in our area, Cabo Flowers and Cakes, Cabo Wedding Services, Amy Abbott Weddings & Events and Bridal Dreams Mexico.
Luis Genaro Ruiz also mentioned that in the past five years the weddings increased fifty percent in Mexico, making an estimate that 350 thousand couples around the world get married in Tourism Destination Towns every year. And according to the most recent statistics, nine percent of them get married in Mexico, so is very important to bring more of those weddings to this region.
Genaro Ruiz said, that the state of Baja California Sur have all that is required to offer an unparalleled and unique experience if you are planning to have a wedding in paradise. Our state has broad clean horizons and breathtaking landscapes, where the sobriety of the desert meets the spectacular deep blues of the sea, either the magnificent Pacific Side or the alluring Sea of Cortez. Genaro also told to the audience that Baja California Sur also possess an incredible infrastructure for every budget. The head of FITUES concluded saying that the state of Baja California Sur is ready to attend the wedding industry demand and he is entirely confident that this new edition of the Destination Wedding Planners Congress will be a major impulse for the segment that works that specific market and in result we will have an increase in the economy and sustainability for the entire region.
