Wamongo Flavors and Spirits Restaurant and Bar is located on the Marina in Cabo San Lucas serving Baja style cuisine.

The legend of the Wamongo is certainly alive within Wamongo Mexican Restaurant. Owners Adrian and Raquel Luna opened the place in 2006 with the idea of providing Cabo San Lucas with a true sense of the Baja culture. Their restaurant resides in front of the very hotel where they first met and instantly fell in love. They decided to name their place after Wamongo, the witch doctor of the original people of Baja.

The décor of the restaurant is set up to evoke the true spirit of this great culture. Cave paintings are displayed on the back walls, as well as signs and paintings of the Baja Peninsula. Even the restaurant’s symbol is a handprint to represent the hand painting found in surrounding caves.

This palapa style restaurant allows people to enjoy the fresh ocean air and a full view of the beautiful waters and luxurious yachts located dockside. Wamongo comes equipped with TVs, a lighting system, and a full sound system that fills the place with the latest hits. There is definitely an energetic, upbeat vibe at this restaurant. Live music is provided Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays featuring blues, pop, rock, salsa, and more.

Patrons can also enjoy the unique experience of watching the chef in action as he prepares the meals in a completely open-air kitchen attached to the full bar located in the center of the restaurant. Chef Pablo Sarrano, is originally from Acapulco. Pablo has been working in Cabo 13 years. His specialty dishes include seafood and Mexican cuisines, topped with his own flavorful sauces. Soups and salads range from $6.00 to $12.00 US, and main dishes, including steaks, seafood, and house recipes, start at just $11.00.  Wamonga is open 7 am to 11 pm daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. An all day special is available including a bucket of beers (5) with chips and salsa for $10 US, and Margarita specials are available Sundays from 12 to 6 pm. Free wireless internet is also provided.
