If you find yourself craving fresh sushi, look no further than the Tiki Bar. Owners Michael Buchalter from California and Dieter Auerbach, originally from Mazatlan, have created an amazing sushi restaurant located right here in Cabo San Lucas. The classic dark wooden tables, red accents, and intriguing Asian artwork, create the perfect ambiance. Tiki Bar embraces Asian influences, while still providing that magical Mexican touch. Their use of fresh fish and sauces with a spicy Mexican flare makes this place like no other in Cabo.
Chef Manuel Avilez has been working at Tiki bar since its opening. He prepares his meals in an open kitchen within the restaurant, so that patrons can watch him in action. Appetizers range from $5.75 to $11.50 US, and Rolls and Nigiris vary from $4.75 to $11.50 US. An all-you-can-eat menu is also available for just $24.00 US. For those who are looking for something other than sushi, the lunch menu provides selections including Buffalo wings, burgers, and sandwiches from 9 am to 5 pm. The Tiki Bar’s motto is “You can see from the sea to the table,” which mean they prepare the meals using the freshest fish straight from the local Cabo fisherman.
There is a full bar serving traditional cocktails as well Japanese drinks, such as the ever popular sake. A large TV is located at the bar allowing patrons to enjoy various televised sporting events. Live classic rock music can be enjoyed Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturday’s. Great specials are always available, such as buckets of beer (6) for $11.00 US from 9 am to 5 pm.
