The Hill Top Restaurant Review by Ashley Alvarado - Los Cabos Magazine Issue #22:
Ensconced within the Vista Encanto development, The Hill Top restaurant and bar shines like a beacon, attracting gourmets with chef-owner Gabriel Cambon’s menu of haute cuisine and an unbelievably romantic panoramic vista of San José del Cabo’s spectacular coastline.
The magnetic Cambon, who often personally welcomes customers to his two-story eatery, originally hails from France but has spent more than two decades working in México’s food and beverage industry. His love of both countries is reflected in his fusion menu, which includes standouts such as the $14 U.S.
Portobello Napoléon appetizer (layers of grilled mushroom and spinach with roasted tomato guajillo coulis and chèvre cream), a lobster bisque perfumed with brandy ($11 U.S.), and seared king scallops served over a huitlacoche risotto and citrus beurre blanc ($23 U.S.). Pair any of these items with a selection from the fine international wine list.
The lunch menu is a great option for budget-conscious diners.
