The Los Cabos MLS is operated in compliance with legally registered bylaws as a non-profit civil association under the name Asociacion MLS, A.C. In order to participate in the MLS, recognized brokers and their sales associates must first belong to CANACO, the Los Cabos Chapter of the National Chamber of Commerce. The MLS group is recognized as the Real Estate Special Section of that body which gives the industry it’s voice to government through advisory commissions to Planning and Urban Development, Urban Image and other governmental agencies.

Each MLS member subscribes to the Association’s published Bylaws, Operating Policies and Procedures and Code of Ethics, which have been hammered out on the anvil of local, national and international experience over the last 14 years. This ensures for buyers and sellers, as well as the other participants in the MLS, that cooperating Agencies will apply the same standards and that they adhere to the same rules of conduct and professionalism.

In 2007, the MLS was restructured and updated, and contracted for the construction of an online database of properties, accessible to agents and the public. Since that time MLS members have been instrumental in the sale of thousands of properties and gross closed volume of hundreds of millions of Dollars.

The Los Cabos MLS is recognized internationally by professionals in the legal, appraisal and mortgage professions as the most organized and professional MLS Association in Mexico.
