Mama’s Royal Cafe. Known as the oldest “gringo” restaurant in downtown Cabo San Lucas, so says chef-owner, Spencer Moore, Mama’s Royal Café opened in 1991 and it is still going strong.
Specializing in bountiful breakfasts “like mama used to make,” Mama’s Royal Café has something for every appetite, from fresh fruit plates and smoothies, to 40 variations of omelets, including a King Kong Omelet that has “the works.” Start with fresh-squeezed juices of orange, grapefruit, mango, and papaya, or a Mimosa from the full bar before indulging in a traditional Mexican dish of the tried and true Huevos Rancheros, a fried egg atop a corn tortilla smothered in ranchero sauce or Nopalitos con Huevos, scrambled eggs with fresh cactus and mild chiles, or any one of many more regional dishes.
