Gordo Banks Pangas location is ideally situated at the gateway of the Sea of Cortez and is the closest sportfishing fleet to the world famous Gordo Banks, it is only a 10 mile cruise from the launch area of La Playita beach to these incredible fishing grounds, which are considered the most productive and consistent area in all of Los Cabos. The variety and quality of the available gamefish makes this a true fishermen's paradise.
Species such as black, blue and striped marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, dorado, wahoo, roosterfish, sierra, pargo, grouper, yellowtail, amberjack, pompano, along with many other types can be found throughout the year, depending on gamefish migrations, bait supply, water temperature, and ocean currents. Charters cover the region from Cabo San Lucas to Vinorama.

General Information
Gordo Banks Pangas is located in the fishing village of La Playita, on the eastern edge of a scenic coastal lagoon at the mouth of Rio San Jose. This is the same area where the massive new Puerto Los Cabos Marina is nearing completion. La Playita is just minutes away from historic San Jose del Cabo. The panga fleet is situated only 10 miles from Los Cabos International Airport and 20 miles from downtown Cabo San Lucas. Eric Brictson, the owner and charter representative, settled in Southern Baja in 1985. Prior to moving to the Cape, Eric spent over 25 years fishing off of the coastal waters of California and Oregon. Eric is an English speaking American who oversees virtually every aspect of the charter operations.

- One light / medium 6 to 7 foot fiberglass casting rod with a Penn 500 sized reel loaded with 20 to 30 pound quality monofilament.
- One medium action 6 to 7 foot fiberglass rod with a Penn 113 H sized reel loaded with 30 to 50 pound quality monofilament.
- One medium / heavy action 5 and a half to 6 ft. rod with a Penn 114 H sized reel loaded with 50 to 80 pound quality monofilament.
- Assorted bait hooks # 1/0 to # 8/0, mono and wire leader material, feathers, hoochies, Rapalas, Yo-Zuri, casting and yo-yo type lures (2 to 5 oz.)
