El Muelle 69 - San Jose del Cabo, Los Cabos, Mexico
El Muelle 69
San Jose del Cabo, Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico
Looking for an authentic Mexican dining experience? Come on over to San Jose del Cabo and go to El Muelle 69. On the road to Puerto Los Cabos, La Playita, it sits to the left of the crossroad that goes to the marina.
Housed under a traditional Mexican palapa in a pleasingly quiet spot, El Muelle 69 was designed to give you a good time. Bring the family for lunch, especially your children. Don’t forget your camera; you will want to snap a shot of your little tyke riding the donkey wearing a sombrero and a jorongo (full-length pancho).
In the evening this open-air restaurant provides low light, soft music, and an international bar. It is a romantic place for casual dining. There are propane heaters for when the night breeze is cool and large fans for when it is hot. You might spot a celebrity in one of the swings up at the bar. Two barrels at the end of the bar hold the house tequila. It is brought over from Guadalajara and aged for six to seven months.
The Mexican menu features everything from tacos for as little as $2 U.S. to full entrées averaging $10 U.S. to $20 U.S. Included in the many options are shrimp, fish, enchiladas, chicken, steak or lobster. There is a children’s menu.
On Saturday and Sunday, around 4:30 a mariachi band will serenade you.
Traditional Mexican furniture has seating for 80. Call ahead if you have a large group. Otherwise, drop in for a special dining experience at El Muelle 69.
