At La Dolce Italian Restaurant you are likely to feel transported to little Italy by the food and decor. The motif and charm of this restaurant is undenaniable characteristic of Italy. Open for dinner only, La Dolce does not stray far from traditional Italian fare. The menu offers an array of Pasta dishes and Pizzas, with a focus on value.

A short walk from Plaza Las Glorias on Hildago at Zapata is La Dolce Ristorante, a quaint sidewalk trattoria in Cabo San Lucas. At La Dolce you are likely to feel transported to Little Italy by the food and decor. The motif and charm of this restaurant is undeniably characteristic of Italy. Open for dinner only, La Dolce does not stray far from traditional Italian fare. The menu offers an array of pasta dishes and pizzas, with a focus on value. You might like to begin your dinner with one of their various antipastas which include a wide range of Italian favorites like Focaccia with oil and balsamic vinegar. When considering a primo course or entrée, one of the house specialties is lasagna. Be certain to leave room for la dolce, meaning "the sweets." Dessert is perhaps what is most alluring about La Dolce. The peaches with ice cream flambe is highly recommended, however, all the desserts here are especially tantalizing.

Arrive early, or make sure you have a reservation, because this authentic Italian eatery always has a full house. Dedicated to customer satisfaction, proprietor/chef Stefano Miotto, originally from Treviso, Italy, learned to cook from his mother, and then gained experience from different Italian chefs as he cooked his way around the world. Settling in Mexico 11 years ago, he started his first La Dolce in Puerto Vallarta in 1995. There are now three successful branches in the countryPuerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, and San José del Cabo. Miotto's menu takes advantage of the fresh seafood and vegetables available in the region, with dishes like insalata dolce with shrimp, and spaghetti al cartoccio with fresh seafood. Or try one of the thin-crusted pizza creations or calzones from their wood-burning oven. If you're not in the mood for pizza or pasta, try the fillet of fish, prepared in your choice of livornese, lime, or white wine sauce. When you've finished your meal, top it off with tiramisu or a rich Italian coffee.
Restaurant and Dining Review - January 28, 2007 - by Bradley Fraser.
La Dolce San Jose is one of those restaurants that just feel good. It is located on the main square near the church in downtown San Jose. The building was, at one time, a house and now over a hundred years later still has some of that character showing through with its wood beamed high ceilings and exposed brick walls. The main bar area has six or seven tables which look out onto the square with the rest of the seating on the back patio. The back patio is great for groups as the tables can be pulled together.
