Desertica - Cabo Multi-Adventure Park
Articles and Reviews
The newest attraction in Los Cabos, Mexico. An old western ghost town serves as setting for this amazing theme park. Our town’s main square is complete with shops, bank, W/C and all the important cantina “Corona Bar”. Some of the activities include sand buggies (we have our own desert circuit), horseback riding (tours to natural wonders including million years of fossils) and cable zip-lines.

Desertica - Cabo Outdoor Multi-Adventure Park
LosCabosGuide.com - Activity Review - by Lauren Glenn - 24 November 2008
Desertica is an exciting new adventure park here in Los Cabos. You can choose from an array of extreme activities including: canopy tours, ATVs, go karts, horse back riding, off-road challenges, zip lines, and desert safaris. After the tour, you are welcome to spend the day relaxing by their large pool with swim up bar or strolling around Old town where you can find great souvenirs and Mexican art craft.
My boyfriend and I wanted to take on the zip-line challenge, so I called Desertica’s office the day before to schedule our activities for the following day. They offered tours at 9 am, 12 pm, and 3pm and sent an air-conditioned van right to our house to pick us up free of charge. You can drive your own car to the destination, but I would recommend having their complimentary transportation pick you up at your house or hotel. They offer 4 vans and 2 buses that fit up to 40 people each.
Once we arrived, our guides greeted us out front and took us to a shaded palapa area to sign in. They informed us that participants must be in great shape to do the zip-lines. Participants also have to be able to walk up a steep upward slope for at least 5 minutes and have a maximum weight of 230 pounds. Once they went through all the requirements, then it was time for the tour!
They took us off-road in a real 6x6 Austrian Army truck through the desert to our destination. When we arrived at the location, they suited us up in the protective zip-line gear and briefed us on safety techniques. They also gave us each our own backpack filled with cold bottles of water. Their professionally trained staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I am terrified of heights, but they were patient and reassured me that the zip-lines are completely safe. Zipping through the canyon was definitely an exhilarating experience for me.
I would recommend wearing running shoes and longer shorts or pants. My boyfriend and I are in great shape, but we were out of breath climbing up the stairs and steep trails to the highest zip-line. I would also encourage putting a camera in the small back pack with your bottled water, so you can get some fun action shots.
When the tour was over, we returned to the main site where they had our complimentary lunch and cold beverages waiting. After lunch we headed over to the large Oasis pool. Make sure to bring your own beach towels and lounge chairs, because they do not provide them. They also do not have changing rooms or lockers, but you can use their large, clean bathrooms for changing. Attached to the pool is a shaded bar serving bottled water, sodas, beers, cocktails, and a snack bar menu ranging for $4 to $7.
Desertica has a large outdoor area, perfect for hosting parties and group events for up to 300 people. They can take up to 60 people at one time for the canopy tours with a full buffet provided afterwards. Call for information on discounts offered for large groups.

Visit Cabo Extreme Territory at Desertica Multi-Adventure Park! The same company that built Selvatica, one of the world’s greatest adventure parks in Cancun’s Mayan Riviera, has created another great experience here in the Baja.
Centered around a Wild West Ghost Town befitting a Hollywood movie set, complete with a Corona Bar cantina, church, shops, museum, bank, hanging tree, and more the park features exciting adventure packages for all ages from guided Mexican village tours and Baja desert vehicle racing, to extreme canopy zip line challenges. Take a guided desert expedition into majestic Gold Canyon on 400cc 4x4 ATV ‘s, where you’ll experience the beauty of the desert up close. You may encounter Mexican burros, rattle snakes, roadrunners, and maybe even a Babasuri the mysterious ring-tailed cat that lives in Baja’s thorn-tropical foliage.
Your adrenalin will start pumping when you drive a 250cc off road vehicle on a 1.5 mile race course, or for more adventure still - go faster and deeper into the wild on the Baja Bora Off Road Adventure. Beginning at Desertica, you’ll race through canyons and across arroyos going as far as you dare into the backcountry driving a custom built air-conditioned SUV. You’ll experience the kind of thrills known only to Baja 1,000 professional racers.
Board an Austrian All-terrain six-wheeled vehicle on your Desert Safari Tour. This non-racing tour visits the villages of Miraflores and Agua Caliente for stops at local leather and hand-crafted furniture making workshops, the Mission Santiago and the most beautiful waterfall in Baja located in Fox Canyon.
On the Viejo Oeste (Old West) Tour you’ll saddle up at Desertica’s stables and ride trails through hidden canyons visiting an oasis, fossil grounds, while experiencing the quiet magic of the natural desert along the way.
Desertica offers the Extreme Adventurer the world’s most exciting canopy canyon tours! The 16-zipline cables run over a 5.6 mile course. Ranging from 250’ to 400’ high, they’re the fastest and longest circuits in the world! Don’t miss their famous Tarzan Swing a combination of free-fall and pendulum.
All tours begin in the Ghost Town and finish with a complimentary lite-lunch and beverage under a palapa by the swimming pool. Be sure to bring a swimsuit for a refreshing dip in the pool after your tour.
