Cosmetic plastic surgery and treatments ranging from Botox shots to breast augmentations and liposuction can be up to 70% less in Cabo than in Los Angeles California. The low cost, personal service and ambience of getting healthcare in Cabo can't be touched by hospitals back in the states. One local plastic surgeon Doctor Miguelangelo has been featured on the Discovery Channel, National Geographic and in news stories on plastic surgery. Another Doctor Liceaga was Director of surgery at 5 government hospitals in Mexico. The best end up in Cabo. At last count I noted over 50 different medical specialties being practiced in the area, 2 new hospitals, and many new clinics with more opening up each season. Everyone wants to live and practice in paradise.
In Los Cabos one can have medical and dental treatments and then enjoy relaxing on sandy semi-tropical beaches and swim in warm waters full of colorful tropical fish. One can fish big game, snorkel and scuba dive a coral reef, go on a romantic dinner/dance cruise, or ride horses on the beach. Don’t be surprised to bump into your doctor from back home playing a round of golf on one of Cabo’s championship courses on some other patients dollar. Don’t laugh. It has happened!
Doctor Jorge’ Arciga (are-see-gah) of Cabo Cosmetic Dental has been pioneering Dental Vacations to Baja Sur for over 30 years. A long-time director of the Baja Sur Dental Association, cosmetic dentist and implantologist he is one of the most respected and affordable dentists in Baja. He maintains his affordability by keeping his overhead low, usually working alone or with another doctor assisting, in his own rent-free facility. He is passionate about his work of creating winning smiles for people who were once afraid to smile. The popular dentist could work 7 days a week but doesn’t “Sundays are sacred” he says. On Sundays, he runs marathons. Doctor Arciga went the extra mile years ago by earning an additional degree in Teaching English. Just so he could communicate perfectly in English with his American and Canadian patients. Now there’s a doctor who cares and wants to talk to and listen to you. I like that.
