Cabo Jazz Escape - Annual Jazz Festival - Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico

	The Cabo Jazz Escape, an annual Jazz festival held in Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos, Mexico is produced by the Cabo Jazz Festival Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the United States. The funds generated from the event each year will be used to develop and support music programs in the Cabo San Lucas public schools.
The December 2006 event has been cancelled

The coordinators of the Cabo Jazz Escape have cancelled the event. They were not able to secure enough funding in order to produce a quality show in December 2006. The local supporter who had agreed to sponsor the event were Playa Grande, Solmar, Hilton and Alaska Airlines believe in the event and were supporting the Cabo Jazz Excape in a big way. "We are not giving up" says Leslie Lee one of the founding coordinators. "We are keeping the Foundation up and running and legal so that we leave the future open for the event." May 26, 2006

From the 2004 event This year our event will take place December 3,4 & 5, 2004 at Cabo Wabo Cantina and Playa Grande Resort with three nights of music. The first weekend in December was chosen for this exclusive, limited-availability event in order to encourage fans to travel to Cabo when the weather is at its’ best but the Thanksgiving and Christmas crowds are nowhere to be seen. This is the way Cabo San Lucas is meant to be enjoyed. Cabo Wabo Cantina is sponsoring Friday night and we have booked Poncho Sanchez and his Latin Jazz Band into Cabo Wabo for that night. Tickets to that event will be sold through Cabo Wabo for $35 each and those tickets are open to anyone wishing to attend. Hotel Solmar Suites and Playa Grande Resort are sponsoring Saturday and Sunday nights. Friday evening kicks off the three-day festival with a Latin Jazz Dance Party featuring the Grammy award winning Poncho Sanchez at Cabo Wabo Cantina, Sammy Hagar's signature club. Saturday will feature a shot-gun golf tournament at the Raven Golf Club to benefit The Cabo Jazz Festival Foundation. On Saturday and Sunday evenings, on the edge of the Pacific Ocean and beneath the Baja stars, featured performers will be 6-time Grammy nominee singer Kurt Elling, 3-time Grammy nominee Danilo Perez and the incomparable violin virtuoso Regina Carter. Tickets are only available through the US booking office for people traveling to the hotels on 3-night packages. Alaska Airlines is our Official Airline so they will also be selling the hotel/air packages from the US.
