The arrival of springtime in Los Cabos traditionally calls for beautiful 80-degree days, incredible swimming and fishing conditions, and the arrival of many vacationers who come in search of ideal weather and world-class accommodations.

This spring has also ushered in major progress at the Cabo Riviera resort community, which is known for its marina and golf residences.

According to Cabo Riviera’s most recent newsletter, there has been significant attention paid to landscaping and beautifying the main entrance, which leads to Isla Santa Rosa and Isla San Jose. Eco-minded folks will appreciate the resort’s decision to work with a local landscaping and local plants that require a minimum amount of water.

Here are some additional updates.

• Isla Golondrinas: There has been a good amount of dredging, earth moving, and shaping. Crews have also completed construction of the bridge, which is being decorated.

• Isla Las Mañanitas: The development’s longest island has seen significant infrastructure upgrades. A road now stretches half the length of the island, and work has begun on a bridge.cabo-riviera-marina-2013_3854_r2

• San Rafael (aka Marina Island): There are now cement caps on a straight wall, and crews are working on earth moving and shaping.

• Peninsula de Marlin (aka Beachfront): Cabo Riviera reports that this area has now completed its infrastructure, with cement caps on the straight wall, a sloping wall has been prepped with eco-friendly materials like coconut husk, and the stone road was lain by hand.

• Isla Las Banderas: The road from Isla Las Banderas to Peninsula del Marlin is now complete.
