There’s no better way to enjoy a Cabo evening than by pulling up a chair under Baja Cantina Marina’s palapa and watching the activity, both in and out of the water, as you sample delicious, heart-healthy dishes. Situated behind Tesoro Los Cabos on Marina Blvd., Baja Cantina Marina is the epitome of comfortable and casual dining with an exceptional view on the waterfront. Proving this, you can even bring the family dog along, as this restaurant is pet-friendly. Entrees vary from $11 US to $36 US and consist of flavorful pizzas, seafood, steaks, and many Mexican favorites. Baja Cantina Marina uses all organic vegetables.
Among the several salads is the Caesar, available with shrimp or chicken, the mixed salad, with tomatoes, cucumbers, and olives, and the Asian salad, (a meal in itself and Baja Cantina Marina’s signature salad): carrots, mandarin slices, sesame seeds, and strips of tortillas, onion, and grilled teriyaki chicken with a peanut sauce dressing ($13.50 US). Another great starter for the health-conscious is the fish ceviche, a combination of fresh fish, marinated in lime juice, tossed with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and avocado. For those who enjoy spice, the shrimp aguachile provides a healthy kick. If you’re looking to eat something healthy to eat, but not feeling fully committed to life without carbohydrates, try the veggie pizza.
Variety is key as olives, mushrooms, onions, garlic, and bell peppers come together over warm, cheesy goodness. Served on corn tortillas, the veggie fajitas are an excellent choice. Fish plates, like the mojo de ajo, are all served with heaping portions of steamed carrots, green beans, and chayote, in addition to white rice mixed with peas and corn. Wireless Internet is available. Kitchen open daily from 7am to 11 pm. Fridays are Ladies´ Night from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.; bar open until 4 am. Happy Hour, with 2 X 1 drinks, all day, every day.
