Snorkeling and SCUBA Diving - Cabo San lucas, Los Cabos, Mexico
SCUBA DIVING IN CABO SAN LUCAS BAY
Beginner and advanced divers will enjoy the challenges near Land's End. Visibility ranges from 30 to 50 feet in winter months, to over 100 feet from April through October.
The Abyss, about 100 feet from the arch, is recommended for advanced divers only. The North and South Wall are also popular canyons with steep granite walls and ledges 100 feet down.
The Sandfalls, a 90 foot dive originally documented by Jacques Cousteau, starts at Pelican Rock and drops an amazing 1200 feet.
This canyon makes the Bahia San Lucas among the deepest bays in the world. |

Other popular sites for diving include Santa Maria Bay, Chileno, Gordo Banks (advanced only) and Cabo Pulmo.
Expert instruction is available for beginner divers, all must show "C" cards to rent tanks or equipment. Reputable dive shops in Cabo San Lucas also provide well-maintained diveboats and excursions. If you're accustomed to diving in the Caribbean, you'll note the water here is not as clear nor as sheltered.
The best time for diving anywhere in Los Cabos is in the summer when water temperatures are heaven and visibility allows for incredible underwater sightseeing. |
