624 Restaurant is where all the magic happens. It is a brand new restaurant that offers a friendly environment, great entertainment, and delicious food to San Jose. 624, in addition to being Cabo’s area code, the owners named the restaurant after the most common card numbers chosen by people participating in card tricks. After all, owner Alberto G. Orta is a celebrated magician, who has even done shows for Hollywood stars. Patrons can expect that he and his staff will have a few tricks up their sleeves.

The restaurant prides itself on being a place for “food, drinks, and fun.” Its rustic style has tons of personality and flare. The walls are all white with exposed brick peeking through in various locations.  The décor adds a creative touch with its red melting candles, vintage light fixtures, and a 6, 2, or 4 carved out in the back of every chair. The restaurant is divided into several unique dining experiences.  624’s full bar features a flat screen TV, a great place to catch a game. Adjoining the bar is a dining area that doubles as a game lounge, where one will often see card games and dominoes being played.

The formal dining area also features a flat screen TV, playing classic black and white Mexican films, and an exposed brick wall that doubles as a very unique wine cellar. Outdoors, the large patio invites patrons to enjoy a serene waterfall trickling down the entire back wall. Things heat up at night when fire flares up from the bottom of the waterfall.

624 is co-owned by Rodrigo Alonso and Laura Figueroa. Their Head Chef, Pavel Pedragil, from Veracruz, was previously the private chef for ex-Governor Miguel Alemán. Using Mexican fusion style cooking and international influences,Pedragil makes his cuisines simply irresistible. Dishes are priced from $7.50 to $13.50 US for appetizers, and $4.75 to $15.25 for soups and salads.

Entrees vary from $13.00 usd to $36.00 usd. Try these fine cuisines between 4 pm and 2 am Monday thru Saturday. Thursday through Saturday is live cover band music from 9 pm to12 am; ladies night is every Thursday from 9 to 11 pm.
